After not having alot of luck on my APAP my team has decided to put my on a RedMed AirCurve 10 ST. I had a ResMed from 2008-2013 and thought it was a good machine-until I got my Respironics in 20013. The Respironics machine is amazing and so quiet and I would rather stay with Respironics but that is not what me team orders.
Does anyone have any experience with the ResMed AirCurve 10 ST and what are your thoughts? Is the ResMed better than the similiar Respironics System One machine?
Any info will be appreciated.

well, the answer to your question would depend on a lot of things you didn't tell.tvmangum wrote:After not having alot of luck on my APAP my team has decided to put my on a RedMed AirCurve 10 ST. what resmed did you have before, (presumably a s8, maybe older) certainly not a s9 since they weren't out in 2008.
what respironics did you have?
the ac10 st is more configurable than the respironics S/T machine, and better supported in for data viewing, and probably quieter.

Re: ResMed AirCurve 10 ST
I've been using a ResMed AirCurve 10 ST since mid-July and I'm very pleased with the unit and the results. My AHI is typically below 1 (down from 42.2 in the lab sleep study) and most of the events are hypopneas with maybe one apnea or so during the night. I've had far more challenges with maintaining a good mask seal through the night than adapting to the machine itself. I also purchased a Toshiba FlashAir III SD card and use FlashPAP to move the data from the FlashAir card in the AirCurve 10 to a folder on my computer for use with SleepyHead software.
This is my first xPAP machine so I don't have a basis for comparison. I really have nothing negative to say about the machine or how it works at all. My wife is thrilled that it's so quiet. We typically have a small fan running in our room for air circulation and she doesn't ever hear the AirCurve 10. It just does its job quietly and effectively.
I wish you the best of luck in adapting to a new machine and routine.

the aircurve series is amazing. the machine is very portable and doesn't make any audible noise that i can tell. the screen and dials also the lights turn off very quickly. once you unlock the clinical menu, which is as simple as holding two buttons down, the customization ability is great. have zero complaints.
