I love this group. This entire thread happened while I was away for the weekend, and it's just wonderful to see how quickly we all respond to help someone who's having a tough time (whether it's one night or over time).

Y'all are a great bunch of people.

Liam, a tad emotional tonight.

OK, I'm really not looking for sympathy, and you don't need to feel awkward or wonder what to say, but I've been convinced by someone that I ought to say WHY I'm a bit emotional tonight. It's a little personal, and if you really don't much care about my personal life, skip right on to the next topic, you won't offend me.

I've mentioned that my wife and I were expecting. Well, we're not, any more. As it's within the first 45 days, it's not even considered a "miscarriage", just a "failure to implant" or some similar deal. It's hard to deal with, because we'd of course started to make plans and consider the future of our child, but in proper perspective it's a far better thing than to have lost one of our other children, so it's a few days of sadness, rather than a huge life-changing tragedy.

But still, since folks on here knew we were expecting, I suppose it's fair to let y'all know we're not, any more (although if the fates smile, perhaps in another month or two we will be again).

Thanks, folks.

Liam, who hopes no one was offended by the OT personal information.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It is a loss and grief is natural. We lost our first baby and I know what you're going through. It's hard. Lean on each other and you and your wife are in our prayers also.

Thanks, everyone. We'll get through it, the disappointment is already dissipating somewhat, and we'll try again when possible.

But we very much appreciate all the kind words!

Liam (& Janet)

Liam,

See my other post about the crying, begging before getting into bed. Will help you get started again.

Mike who never begs, but has pleaded a few times...

Yeah, I know, but I just can't get her to stop. She'd be SO much more attractive to me if she weren't begging me like that, every night.

Liam, who is now sitting here WITHOUT Janet, as if that weren't obvious.
