New machine and Sleepyhead

Post by Jackiep » Tue Aug 23, 2016 8:44 am

I just acquired a new machine..DreamStation APAP...replacing a REMstar System One APAP. My question is do I have to reinstall Sleepyhead with this new information ? Or do I simply insert the new SD card and things go on as usual? Thanks.

SleepyHead won't care. Just continue using the same user profile unless you want the data to be separate.
SleepyHead will list both machines and the date you started with the new machine in the same profile.
I think at one time I had 5 different machines under one profile.

The only time SH has a problem is if you use 2 different machines within a 24 hour period for some reason.
It won't know which machine to report and you lose one machine's data. That's the only time there is a problem with multiple machine usage.

Thank you so much Pugsy ! I was hoping I would hear from you I inserted the SD card and got the message "Couldn't find any valid machine data"...
.. yet " My Info" on the machine provides the usual data. Any ideas ? Thanks

Come to think of it ...perhaps I did use two different machines within a 24 hour period...the old one Sunday night and the new one Monday night...would that do it ? Just reread your original post and realized this could be the issue...will try again tomorrow morning.

Sunday night to Monday night shouldn't be the problem unless there maybe was a nap in there somewhere.
The problem usually happens when someone switches machines during the middle of the night.

When all else fails created a new user profile to go along with the SD card from the new machine and import to the new profile and see what happens.

it depends on what version of sleepyhead you have.

the only one that understands the dreamstation is the 1.0 beta that came out in the spring of this year.

upgrade to that, upgrade your data, and then you can read in the data from your new gadget, into the same profile.

Ooops...that little tidbit I forgot.

Yep...will need the latest version. You probably have an older version.
