Resmed 37051

Post by Nin6 » Mon Aug 22, 2016 9:46 pm

A friend has gotten a ResMed BiPap with a model # 37051. I can't find out anything about it on the ResMed site. Is it an older machine?

cpaps:37051;Resmed;AirCurve 10 V Auto

no, brand new.

'bipap' is a respironics trade name, like 'xerox' copiers or ford 'f150' trucks.

When I put AirCurve 10 V Auto in, it comes up with the model # 37211. So is the 37051 an older model and if so, what are the differences?

The 37051 is the same machine as the 37211.
Apparently ResMed has 2 product codes for the same machine. It appears that the difference may be related to packaging (like a box of 3 machines or a box of 2 machines so that DMEs order in bulk and probably save a little money).
I don't know if this is something new or it was always this way but we just recently have noticed the 2 product codes for the same machine in the other AirSense/AirCurve models also.

Thanks Pale Rider and Pugsy! Strange system, but at least it's a current machine and not something older they're trying to get rid of!

no, it's not, in fact, 37211 isn't a machine at all.

37211;Resmed;AirCurve 10 V Auto co-pack;

it's an ordering code for a box with two machines in it.

there are a LOT of codes for the aircurve 10 vauto.

37051 AirCurve 10 V Auto
37050 AirCurve 10 V Auto
37053 AirCurve 10 V Auto
37052 AirCurve 10 V Auto
37054 AirCurve 10 V Auto

37212 AirCurve 10 V Auto tri-pack

well, my guess is that all the other numbers are just ordering codes for something, and not going to show up on the back of the machine.

like a 36005 is a s9 autoset, and a 36015 is a s9 autoset with humidifier in the box, and a 36025 is a s9 autoset with humidifier and climateline hose in the box... but the machines themselves all say 36005.
