Respironics Sleep Easy CFlex,DOM Mod#SE2010

Post by RSLyon » Sun Jul 31, 2016 12:42 pm

Hello, I've had my C-PAP Machine since 2012 and it only has 68 hours on it. The reason being was I thought the pressure @13 was set too high. I was having difficulty exhaling against the incoming pressure. Well I since learned that my machine's C-Flex feature was never programmed from the provider. The pressure is probably ok but without having the C-Flex feature programmed one can easily find exhaling against any pressure most difficult . What I seek is how to program the C-Flex feature on my Respironics Sleep Easy Machine. I would be most grateful if someone could help me with this problem.

You probably have to go into the clinical setup menu and turn in on so that the patient has access to it.
I couldn't find the complete manual but I found this.
If you search the internet for the "Clinical manual for the Respironics Sleep Easy CPAP machine" you might stumble across it and it will have pictures.
Respironics SleepEasy: Plug in the machine while simultaneously pressing the plus and minus buttons on top of the machine. The LCD shows the pressure setting along with an icon of a open padlock. To move between options, press the ramp button. The plus and minus buttons adjust the increments.

I did as you suggested plugging the machine into an AC outlet while pressing both the + & - buttons on top of the machine. All it did was go into CAL mode and displayed the pressure setting before blowing air. No unlocked padlock symbol was ever displayed. What I fear is having to take the unit back to the provider to have them fix the problem. I noticed on the back of my machine, is a round socket for connector which I can only assume would be a port to connect the unit to a computer for programming and or reading data. This model doesn't have an SD card option.

It wasn't programmed because it doesn't have the C-Flex feature.......never did have. It's just a basic blower.

That machine has been discussed (like every other subject) on the forum many times. Some instructions are in this link.

I also have the User manual for that machine and the "Quickstart Guide".
None of them (dated 2007) make no mention of C-Flex. It doesn't exist on that machine.

That particular machine is the most basic of machines...el cheapo.
I looked for a clinical manual but couldn't find one.
I did find a user manual.

I don't know if there is anything in there that will help you.

IF you happen to have the SleepEasy II model, it MAY have C-Flex.

Instructions should be the same to get into the setup options.
