Saturday nights alone, with my cpap, sucks
There has to be nothing sadder than finding yourself home on a Saturday night and staring at your cpap. I should have been out partying or something but wasn't. Now I'm faced with this cpap machine, knowing that me and my mask aren't going to get along too well tonight. Excuse the vent, folks.
But think, if you sleep without it, you will feel horrible in the morning... Hey wait a sec, that could be a safer way to feel like crud the morning after!! Think about it, your wallet will still be full, and you won't have to wonder how to get that 2am beauty out of your place!!
I suggest that anyone that is used to waking up Sun morning with a hangover, try sleeping without your cpap!! Your wallet will be fuller, and you won't catch anything you can't pronounce!!!
Seriously tho, there are worse things in life... Be thankful it is only at night, imagine what the folks on ventilators must go through...

Oh, I am sorry. This cpap-thing should make us all so happy, that we've got an answer, that we've got positive, preventative measures to take, etc., etc. It does make one feel alone, though, as if scuba diving when others are up on top splashing and frolicking. I work at keeping in mind all those struggling with the apnea and consequences. It lifts my spirits that those on this board, for instance, are so helpful and there for us. It is hard to keep one's spirits up, but please try. The other answers to your post undoubtedly have a healthier approach.......some humor. I just know it is hard for you and I am sorry. I hope you have a better day today and all days.......

Thanks
Thanks Sharonious,
Yes, it is a new day. And it is easier. And yes, the forum helps big time. Why else would I check in and see what happens here next? It just was a tough nite for me, for certain reasons. I'm sorry for have vented like that. My apologies. It wasn't fair. All of you are so nice. I feel privileged to have encountered the kind folks of this forum.

Could have been worse, could still be trying to get rid of that 2am bar pickupAnonymous wrote:Thanks Sharonious,

Hey, I can relate. But staring at the walls has become a way of life for me.
The cpap machine isn't that bad. I picked mine up at the Lonely Guy Store and use it as a French kiss device. It's a great way to drift off to dreamland!

Please do not apologize. Sometimes it just isn't fun. Sometimes we feel sad and sorry about things, sometimes even sad and sorry for ourselves (though this isn't a PC thing for me to say). It happens to most everyone I know occasionally. Me too, of course. So, I'm glad you posted and hope replies have been helpful. A Good New Day to you and to us all. Sharonious

Saturday night...and your hose is still hangin' down
Tired of not sleepin' in your own home town
Like to find a little hole in the ground
For a while, mmm mmm
So you go to the DME in your tie-dye jeans
And you stare at the sleepless and the CPAP queens
It's like some pornographic magazine
And you smile
CPAP Jack will get you sleep tonight
And take you to your special island
CPAP Jack will get you sleep tonight
Just an air push and you'll be smilin'
Oh, yeah

Well Bozman, it's a good thing you confessed.Anonymous wrote:It was me, bozmon (who also doubled as Howard Hughes in another thread). Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
This way we can compliment and thank the right person.
Terrific stuff.
You should do more of this type of writing, if you haven't already.
Wonderful, Bozman!
Cool beans, I say!!

The only action I got last night was the "lovesick octopus" mask action humping my nose as I slept. Love that phrase.
