Hose Help

Post by whome » Wed Jul 06, 2016 8:13 am

Hi!

I have a resmed s9 and a mirage quattro mask. I just got a new hose, and when I fit it to the mask, I come across the same problem I've had every time - it slides off the trunk part of the mask whenever I move. Till now, my solution has been to put a bunch of tape around it. It occured to me yesterday though, that I must be doing something wrong - they can't be made with the intention that you'll use tape to hold them together.

Do you have any advice for me? Am I doing something wrong? Is it tape forever?

Thank you!

My mask came with an adapter that I had to shove down into the hose. Actually, when I changed hoses, I thought the adapter was part of the hose because it was wedged in there so tight. Mine never comes out and I don't use tape.

Did you mask come with an adapter that attached to the mask and the to the hose?

I use the Quattro mask and have never had that problem with a new hose....As the previous poster suggested, try using the small grey adapter that stays permanently on the hose and "Snap" connects to the mask.

I wonder if you are missing a little piece of the mask that attaches to the hose.
It should have been in the package with the mask but it may have got lost if your DME opened the package.
