Post by KAZ » Wed Jun 29, 2016 1:25 pm

I ordered a Resmed Swift FX to try the nasal pillows and reading the instruction after I receive the swift it says:"not compatible with resmed vpap adapt sv devices" Am I out of luck?

No...you should be fine unless you are using the much older VPAP Auto ASV type of machine. If you are using a S9 or newer machine it's not a problem.

That "not suitable for" message pertains to the older (like S8 or older) model ASV type of machines because of some circuit learning thing and those older machines pretty much required a full face mask.
And it's only for the ASV type...older regular VPAP Auto models aren't included in that warning.

So...only the ASV type of VPAP and then only for the much older models.

I remember hearing/reading that years ago. I can't remember whether it was a warning for a specific previous machine model/generation or has continued to the newer generations of machines. And, not being a ResMed user, I haven't kept up with the newer generations of equipment and their idiosyncrasies. So, I did a search on your quote.

Hope that helps.

the "Vpap Adapt SV" is an older model than the S9 Vpap Adapt.
