If it would be for me then the white noise would be this sound generator to mask my ringing in the ears (Tinnitus).

The exact tone that I need to mask my Tinnitus is about 4,000 Hz at about mid level (60%) here:

This should be OK:

The Pilot 24 does not since it is 100% DC (no inverter). Inverters can cause a whine that may be audible to some. On this general subject, we use a pink noise generator every night that covers any noise except very loud noises like thunder. My wife got me hooked on using a noise generator every night.
See my above post for you.

I have had Tinnitus for 35 years or more and I have never seen a machine like you posted. I am lucky in that the not stop ringing has never messed with my sleep, at least not that I know of. I hope you can get some peace and quiet.

Thanks for this additional discussion folks. I really appreciate it. I'm going to look into this PIlot24 option. I think the name is especially appropriate. I have to get something put together, the trip is just 4 weeks away.

So if I understand correctly, the $84 power converter would not be necessary then. That certainly helps the wallet.

Would love to hear more about it.

Looks good, but ends up being the same price as the Medistrom 24 V battery once you add the adapter. Uggh.

Be sure to post your battery experience after the trip. Lots of interest here.

I use the Medistrom Pilot 12 with my Respironics auto 560. I only use it as an Uninterrupted Power Supply. It is worth the cost, for me. Have had it a few months and it has kicked on twice, for a short power outage, during the night. It made no sound that I could hear, but I was asleep! I knew the power had been out because our stove and microwave clocks were flashing in the morning. I don't know how long It would last as battery power. That would depend on your pressure settings. You would not be able to use it with heated humidity.
