Maybe the problem isn't your mask, but rather your bed pillow. If you're using a "standard" fiberfill pillow and your head is sinking into it, it could be pushing your mask out of alignment.zlman wrote:New user and still adapting but leaks are a major problem for me.

Many of us use pillows that work better with or were designed for this therapy.
I have and have used the same mask you do but like my (original) Ultra Mirage Full Face mask better.
The Quattro is my second choice.

Been using the Amara view for a couple of years. I'm also a side sleeper. May want to try firm or extra firm pillow.zlman wrote:New user and still adapting but leaks are a major problem for me.

Another amara view fan here.
I use a regular pillow, but I smash in the end of it so it's more squared off rather than tapered. Also, I used to use a king-sized pillow and find that a standard sized pillow works better. I need to sort of hang over the edge, and when I would roll over I'd have to make it all the way to the other side of the pillow and it would wake me up.

Re: Side sleepers and mouth breathers. What mask works for you?
Hi, I use the DreamWear mask and scrunch up my pillow like CathyF. Only been doing this for 12 days, had leak issues the first three days until I got the tension right. I feel pretty lucky that I have been able to get some good sleep and wear the mask at least 7 hours a night without throwing it across the room like some other drivers I have spoken with. I want to get back on the road and am very motivated to get my compliance in order to do so. My worry is chest congestion from the humidifier. I have a clearing my throat cough but my Doctor says I am fine.

Dreamwear
I have a buckwheat husk pillow on order to solve some small leak issues. I also use a soft cervical collar because of my mouth breathing. I'm going to experiment with some of the 'chin up' tapes when they arrive.

i also use the mirage quattro. I use a fairly flat, firm pillow and don't have many leaks. I've never been a fan of the pillows that are so soft my head sinks into them, though.
Re: Side sleepers and mouth breathers. What mask works for you?
I can't say my therapy has ever completely worked for me, BUT - after 11 years and 8-10 masks (and high pressure), I'd say the Fisher & Paykel Simplus. Most comfortable and least leaky of those I've tried. I have a deviated septum that they never could fix, so FFM it is.
+1 on the pillow discussion - you have to find a way to keep whatever pillow you choose from moving your mask sideways when you side sleep.
