Suggestion for CPAP.com- Lists of Side/Stomach Sleeper Masks

Post by wahooker » Thu Aug 31, 2006 10:46 am

One thing that might be very helpful to your customers... Would it be possible for you to suggest masks that are recommended by Side Sleepers and Stomach Sleepers?

Obviously, you would have to have some sort of disclaimer, because not every mask works for everyone, but maybe with some input from people here in the forum, you could compile lists of masks that tend to work better for those of us who sleep on our stomach or side.

I know the topic comes up here in the forums a lot, but I imagine only a small portion of the customers actually make it to the forums.

Can just start the list here on the forums and then people can easily search for it.

Jcraig: It sounded to me that Wahooker intended to have that information made available on cpap.com.

Pardon me if I've misinterpreted your response, which is a good idea to get things started, but I think there's a better way in which to gather the information to make it usable to cpap.com I think it's a great idea, even though that info us (usually) available by reading through the text (YUK!!) for each mask, etc.

No, I know what Wahooker meant, I was just pointing out that the site and this forum are sort of intrinsically linked so if we compile the info here and get a Mod to sticky it...that's at least a decent solution.

But yeah it would be best to list with each mask on cpap.com whether or not it's decent for side sleeping, etc. But of course, everyone's experience is different. For example I *can* side sleep with my HC405, but I doubt it should be listed as being "good" for doing so, hehe.

Now the Activa...ahhhh.

Maybe a 5-star rating would help with that?

If we could sleep on our side using a particular mask, it would get a lower rating than one which is VERY comfortable, etc.

Well I guess I'll have to look at your Activa as a possible 2nd mask to my CL2.
