New Machine

Post by quilterB » Tue Aug 29, 2006 12:44 pm

I picked up my Remstar Auto with c-flex this morning. Want to order the software now. Is the 6.1 the package I should order? I have read the users manual and do not find where I indicate the type of mask I am using. Is this something I don't do with this machine? My previous machine was a resmed and you had to choose your mask type.
Thanks.

Mask settings are unecessary, you bought a machine with a brain, Version 1.6i is the latest. cpap.com has the reader and software $170 or Software $99. Jim

The RemStar just keeps track of the leak rates in LPM. This is all you really
need, because the leak rate for each mask is usually in its manual.

New user question...

Post by NHBear » Tue Aug 29, 2006 5:17 pm

As an adjunct question, and it may be silly, but do I need to have the DME 'turn-on' this ability. I scroll through the LCD read-out and it really gives just hours used. I do have the card inserted and the DME just sent me a replacement so I can mail the current one back to them. It doesn't give any of this information in the user's manual (at least i couldn't find it). I am a healthcare worker, and would very much like to keep track as many of you do. Thanks from Northern New England!

NuBear,
You can buy the tech manual for $6.00 on eBay. Or just wait a bit and
someone will post a link to the same info for free.

Snoredog-

Actually, there is a provider manual for the Respironics M Series Auto machine. I purchased it on eBay for $6.95.

All-

If anyone is interested, please PM me. Note, however, that it is nearly 6MB in size. Many ISPs don't allow files over 5MB.

2curious, does the manual you bought on ebay explain the settings mode you enter when you do what snoredog suggested about holding down the < >'s and plugging it in?

thanks!!
