Newbie here...first attempt at sleepyhead

Post by Miscanthus » Fri Apr 01, 2016 2:40 pm

I was diagnosed in Feb 2015 with 22 AHI on my sleep study also with centrals.
After being frustrated with my progress a few months in I stopped CPAP treatment. I recently started it back and have come here for help.
I am attempting to post a sleepyhead chart to see if it works and if you guys can help me get my equipment setup. Right now the pressure on my Resmed Autoset 10 is set to 16. I cannot get my AHI under 5 and most times it is over 10. Some nights my mask does fine and the next night it will leak all night. Very frustrating. I use a full face mask because I am a mouth breather. I dont see where to upload an image. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks.
Roy

I've gotten this far

Krelvin I got the screenshot but could not follow the directions for the upload. I'll have to play with it when I have more time.
I lost my way at the point the arrow pointed to click on your username. I did not sign up so I did not have that info. I cannot get to the code needed to upload to this site.

Thanks for the info.

Doesn't give you the size options if you are not logged in. But it is okay what you posted. Someone can open the image in another tab and resize it if needed. The key is that it is large enough to read the text and info on it.

I notice it shows my mask as being pillows but that is incorrect. I have a full face mask.

Don't.

if you log into ingur, you can pick various size thumbnails to represent the image, but DO NOT resize the image, your attempts to make it fit will only result in it being unreadable and useless.

your pressure is too low to handle your needs during periods of your night.

why are you using a fixed pressure?

The fixed pressure is what my doc prescribed. I thought with my machine I could only have fixed pressure.
What pressure do you recommend for my situation?

according to the screenshot posted, you've got an autoset.

for most of the night, you're working with 16/13 pressure due to the EPR, and having no events at all. you could probably do with a little less pressure during those times, and more during the time when you..... something, roll on your back???

I'd set it to autoset mode, min 15 max 20 and see how things look after a couple nights. you might be able to go lower for the majority of the night.

One more thing. Does my machine provider have to set the machine or is that something I can do?
