Hello everyone
I'm on my first week on apap. Last night was a rough one, I looked on the chart or Graf and there was an event where didn't breath and it was marked as RERA. I googled it with no results.
Also, how long befor you start to feel the difference?
Thank for the responders, much appreciated

Not PERA, but RERA, respiratory effort related arousal, basically what events are called when they do not rise to the level of apneas or even hypopneas, but do still arouse you (if not consciously waken you) enough to seriously disturb your sleep.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I looked at the graph on that day on sleepyhead and on the RERA event I notice very little breathing wave almost a strait line.

Re: What does acronym RERA mean?
When you are on the graph view of sleepyhead, highlight the "RERA" just to the left of the top event graph/log and it gives a nice definition.

A lucky few start to feel better in a week or two.Born2Bwild wrote: Also, how long befor you start to feel the difference?

Most people start to feel better in a month or so after they start actually sleeping well with the machine.
A few of us are unlucky and don't feel much better or 6 months or more.
