ResMed myair app

Post by Mary1118 » Mon Mar 28, 2016 4:26 am

Good morning,
For laughs I downloaded the myair app, figuring I'd have some data to show the Dr in Wednesday. I will probably forget to bring the the SD card. I have not d/l Sleepyhead yet. My computer isn't playing nicely lately so I rarely use it. Anyway I know the current thinking here is that MyAir isn't that great but what the hell. So what is a S+ unit (silver rectangular thing?) and does one need it to use this app? Seems so. Yet the lady who did the cpap demo for me when I went to get the machine told me I could download and use the app. It's no biggie, one less app on my phone won't kill me , just wondered why I was told I could use the app when it seems like I need this unit thing to use it, which I don't have. (Unit is not the cpap machine but some silver rectangular box with a solid square box in the top half of the rectangle. Seems to be some sort of receiver that my phone is supposed to pair with via Bluetooth). Again I know it's not essential, merely curious.

You can access your data by going directly to the MyAir website. You don't need the app or other item

your Resmed CPAP is connected to the Resmed server through cellular data. However to access this data, you must first register your e-mail and device number to Resmed website.

With or even without the app, you can access that data. However if you want to use the app, your smartphone and CPAP must have a bluetooth connection. .
The newer model PR System One and Dreamstation has built-in bluetooth, but I guess Resmed S10 has no bluetooth builtin. Need additional plugin???

The AirSense 10 Autoset for Her which is what she has in her profile includes the wireless "feature". All of the AirSense and AirCurve models do.

Not sure what is needed to use the service she is talking about as I have not tried it myself and don't have that model though.

BTW there is no such thing as a Resmed S10. Chevy makes an S10 truck though.

The models you are talking about (PR System One REMStar 60 Series and Dreamstation) are not Resmed products and use a different app/tool for this. Bluetooth is option on the System One. They use Philips Respironics' SleepMapper and Dreammapper apps.

Hi,
I did register my email and device number on the Resmed website. I also have a smartphone and Bluetooth connection.
But doing some internet research at lunch I think what happened is that I downloaded the wrong Resmed app. they have something called S plus which is a "sleep system" and this explains more and discusses a "S + unit" which is the silver thing I was describing. https://mysplus.com/help

So I think I downloaded the wrong app. Anyway from what you and others say I can just access the info on the website so that's fine for me too. Thanks for the reply!

I haven't found an actual Resmed app. But once you've loved into the MyAir website on your iPhone or iPad,you can create a shortcut to it on the home screen, the shortcut icon looks like an app icon. When you tap it, it opens Safari to the login screen at the MyAir website.
