Found a unique bed pillow for side sleeper

Post by Eddy » Sat Mar 05, 2016 10:36 pm

I had problems with the Memory Foam bed pillows, even ones with a cutout to allow side sleeping. I bought a buckwheat hulls and shredded foam pillow from AMAZON ($49).
  • It can be shaped like you want and it holds its shape unlike memory foam.
  • Works great for a side sleeper.
  • You can make a "divot" for the mask and it does not push the mask around.
  • Shape it under your neck and it stays supportive.
  • Greatly reduced Mask leaks due to "pillow pushing".
  • Stays cool and feels firm.
Takes a few days to a week to get acclimated to it but it works.

Hi Eddy,

It appears there's quite a few members here who use the same kind of pillow and really enjoy it.

Woohoo, Richardson is an awesome city.

Here's the buckwheat hull pillow I use... made by a member of CPAPtalk:

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

C-frog do you think this pillow would work for a back sleeper who needs relief from cervical collar on back of neck??? I am small and the collar is too thick in the back.

I am not normally a back sleeper; but after my breast surgery, I had no choice.
Most pillows are too thick for my short neck; and sleeping on my back always left me with nasty neck pain.
When I received my hull and foam pillow, I removed about half of the fill, (zipper was so handy)
leaving just enough to keep me as comfortable as Goldilocks herself.
{{{Thanks again, Bret! }}}
