2 weeks-in; finally a restful night sleep
Hello,
Posting here b/c nobody IRL much understands or cares much about the minutia of getting a CPAP program figured out.
I'm happy to say that have two weeks trying, I finally got a decent night's sleep.
The most recent addition was a chin-strap to keep my big mouth closed through the night (some will lobby for it to remain during the day).
So after having spent the past 14 nights experimenting with pressures, auto-ramp (and lack thereof), heating, humidity, nasal pillow size/position, head/body pillow position, et al. -- I'm hope that maybe I've figured out a workable configuration.
A very tentative "yay!"

Congratulations on a night's rest! It is such a harsh reality that we have to work for something that once just happened. I have so much more appreciation for sleep than I ever did before!
Fingers are crossed for you to continue this winning streak and to dream the impossible dream night after night, uninterrupted.
Kind regards,
GB

That is awesome! It is such a big change with so many pitfalls many get discouraged. Happy to hear someone new taking to it so well, so soon. Fingers crossed for you!

Congratulations! I am at the two week mark myself and hope to be able to report similar success soon.
It strikes me as oh-so-ironic that I sleep way better au natural than with the mask on. Wasn't the whole problem we were addressing that I wasn't sleeping well in the first place???

Thank you! I had a second consecutive good (not great, but good) night, so fingers crossed. You're right, it's a hassle, though certainly better than suffering a heart attack, stroke, or diabetes!

Ironic indeed. I described it to someone as now I get fewer hours of better sleep. I think it's also important to remember that better sleep is also healthier sleep...at least we're no longer suffocating at night.Dancers Need Sleep! wrote:Congratulations!
