Headache

Post by chato » Fri Aug 25, 2006 4:00 pm

Last night was my first sleep with the machine, I woke up with a headache and chest pain, oh and felt like a lugwrench. Is this normal?

Headache

Post by kteague » Fri Aug 25, 2006 4:43 pm

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable on the subject will weigh in soon; I just remember discussion about headaches and masks venting. It's almost comical now what I didn't know when I got my first machine, but I actually thought the vent was a leak and was trying to make it stop! (Yeah, I admit to that. I must have slept thru the tech's instructions.) Maybe your headache was just an adjustment to the headgear, but best wishes in resolving things.

Sounds like you were short of oxygen all night ... you either have problems with your mask or the settings on your machine.

Provide some more info on your background and details about your night (ie. any dry mouth? was your mask still on when you woke up? did you sleep thru the whole night? stuff like that .... and someone will chime in with specifc tips to get you on the right track.

Good luck and keep at it.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

when i first started was told the chest pain is due to the lungs adjusting to actually working properly after so many years of not working properly - but you should see your doc just in case it's something else - I got a different kind of headache, too, depends on mask - full face mask works better for that if it is sinus pain - good luck
