I have been using SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner and Sanitizer for over a year. I also carry the sanitizer when I travel. The sanitizer is set for 10 minutes every morning and keeps the mask, tube and the APAP clean. Besides once a week I clean the parts with liquid soap and vinegar and water. I recommend the sanitizer if you can afford it since there are much cheeper ways to clean your equipment

I have terrible sinus allergies and I noticed no difference in my allergies using or not using the machine. I wash my equipment in the wash that supposedly comes with the SoClean (7th Generation). I rotate my equipment so I can be lazy about washing and have never experienced anything gross or dirty with my handwashing in the 4 years on CPAP. The only reason I bought the SoClean is because it was new and shiny, an impulse purchase. I read the thread on Amazon under the machine offering I purchased by John House. The thread is over 50 posts long and very informative. I would not recommend purchasing but at least be a fully informed consumer.
Thank you very much Cindiwa. Your true life experience with SoClean 2 is insightful if not, informative.

The SoClean does NOT clean. It's possible that it does kill germs, but it can't remove dirt, grease, oils, etc. Ozone doesn't disintegrate dirt.

The SoClean does NOT sanitize the insides CPAP machine (blower unit) itself. The ozone circulates through the hose, mask, and the water tub. It's designed to not blow ozone through the CPAP machine because it can't do so without releasing ozone into the air.

However, the CPAP machine itself does not need cleaning or sanitization. It's just dry room air blowing through the machine. There are air filters on the air intake.

It appears we have a So Clean Shill infestation, several people are posting as a hand in hand shake wink society. I hope they make enough money off the suckered to make it worth their time, the mark up on So Clean must be massive. The intelligence to buy one, not so much! Jim

Why do you call it a cleaner? How does it clean?

Love the Soclean 2. Before I got it, my cpap would smell musty a day after a thorough cleaning. Each morning, I change out the water and wipe the nasal pillows down with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Then, into the Soclean it goes. I didn't like the odor after the 7 minute cycle so I reduced the time to 4 minutes. My cpap experience is much better now since I don't have to clean everything so thoroughly every day. Weekly is enough.

FWIW, I have the Airsense S10 and for some reason I didn't have the musty odor problem with the S9.

My impression is that while they claim you don't have to wash anything,
they are more than happy to sell you WIPES!
{{{IMO, they can wipe THIS}}} (turns around, wags hiney)

This is very interesting since I have gotten lazy and hardly ever clean now with no smell or issues. I did try the Noclean on their 30 day trial and returned after a week because it stunk so bad I thought I would throw up.

I did clean my mask and hose today, has been over a month, thought it was time.

NYcpap, after about 6 months of use the smell is greatly reduced. If you've used the machine for that long you may want to experiment with raising it back to 7 min and see how the odor is. I personally do not find the smell offensive in any way.
