I finally figured it might be trapped gas from the cpap, which had been a problem in the past. But since no one else is here to help here, I need to be able to get up and do it.
After two nights with no cpap, I am much better. no problems eithr morning. The first night I did not take any sleeping pils (which I need since I had a pitutary tumor removed). I did not sleep much at all, but I cold not find the 2 mnitor and did not want to risk things going really south.
So last night I put on the o2 meter, and put the alarm on for 78. It went off once (boy is it loud, scared the !@#!@#$ out of me).
today I rev iewed the 02 report. I had some events where I got down s low as 76%. But the total time less than 82% is .4 minutes.
I have to go back and search, because I kow I posted a coment about where my wife where the dellp dr said to not worry about events where the time at less than 82 was less than something...... and I THINK (can not remember... that tumor thing) that it was much more than .4 minutes.
Anyhow, I am going to confirm withthe insurance company that they have paid for the whole machine, and if so I will consider one of two options;(both while wearing the 02 monitor)
1) I will lower the pressure to the minimum and see how things go. I may then slowly increase it to where I had it before. (I do not remember right now what that is, and when i upgraded my machine I lost the sleepy head data that was stored,s so need to reload it all and start over)
2) I am considering going without the cpap until my daughter is better (which may be moths)
On the current setings on the cpap I was at a very low ahi, many times 0.0. so I can lower the pressure some.
I did have some posts on this in th past, but this is the first time I have considered doing without cpap. I have to be able to function and the trapped gas has been so bad a few days that I could not.
