woot woot new straps

Post by wuelfman » Thu Aug 24, 2006 7:54 am

well i had a chance to use my new straps for the hybrid last night. it works much better then the old one did. got to sleep on my side (right and left).the new straps worked SO MUCH BETTER right out of the gate for me. and no mouth leaks that woke me up.all i can say if you are having any trouble adjusting or getting the hybrid to work like you think is to get the updated headgear straps.
alot more heavy duty and alot more spring in the material

Suzy-
thanks for doing the spadework on this for us.
It was unbelievably easy to just call that number.
Always best to go right to the source!

thanks again,

Maryb

Mine isn't broker but I would like the new upgraded headgear, too. If I order the Hybrid headstrap on CPAP.com, will I get the newest version?

you could call CPAP.com and ask them if they have the new improved headgear. If they don't, I'd call the manufacturer and just tell them that you want the new version because the old version is flimsy and you can tell it's going to fall apart soon. That's what I'd do.

MaryB,
I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it was actually a nice 'guest' who posted on one of my threads when I was complaining about the headgear falling apart and having to buy another brand headgear to fit that mask that cost $60, the guest posted why not call Innomed.

So I did, and then figured I would post what transpired afterwards, because I was most POSITIVE it would happen to others, the headgear was truly crummy and the velcro lost its stick after the first washing, which was 2 wks after I bought it.

I'm glad others are going to reap the benefits as well. I am very impressed by the company and their willingness to supply better headgear, no additional cost to us, no hassle in asking for it either.

One more reason,,,,,

One more reason I voted to "allow guest postings" on this forum. It was a guest who prompted me with the idea to call Innomed in the first place.

Spoke to Apria today. They had no idea that new headgear was available. They asked me to let them know how it is when it comes. I'm going to send them a picture so they can see the difference.

I just received my hybrid 2 days ago - was going to wait for the weekend to start testing it - but yesterday I was reading about the new headgear and called them and they are sending one out to me. At this point, based on what others have said, I'll wait to start testing after I get the new headgear. Hope it gets here soon...I'll post my test results....

Wow- got it today - guess it helps being at the home of Fed Ex here in Memphis - the new straps look to be much improved - look a lot like my F&P straps for my 431 ff mask - which is good. I'll let you all know how it goes this weekend!!
