I also have personally spoken to Respironics. Not about the M series but about who their authorized vendors are. I was checking out CPAP.com way back before I bought anything from them or even found this forum. So I for one do know that they talk to customers and they were very nice to me and answered all my questions.

Thank you tmail. Finally an intelligent comment on perceived noise from a cpap machine. I just think its ridiculous to comment on noise when its a machine with moving parts. For gods sake, put some music on or whatever and go to sleep for once!

I think most CPAPERs have some hearing loss at different frequencys.
Even though the db (C weighting) may be exactly the same on two different
machines, different CPAPERs will always perceive one louder than the other.

Maybe DSM will start a web page with the a list of db measurements from
each machine.
+ Aussie heated hose.

I keep trying to convince my wife of that when she claims that I DIDN'T HEAR HER.

She also doesn't understand the "memory loss" associated with this affliction.

They say women speak 20,000 or so words a day and men 10,000. Not that we're not listening of course, but the difference is that men say "What did you say" and women are forced to repeat it.
