Encore Pro Data Upload Question

Post by 2curious » Thu Aug 24, 2006 12:53 pm

I have setup my Encore Pro software to NOT erase the Smartcard. When uploading data from the Encore Pro Smartcard to the PC each day, is it duplicating the previous data or simply adding the new data to the database?

If it is in fact duplicating the previous data, wouldn't it skew the long term reports?

It's fine.
It's not duplicating or skewing anything.

As Den says, but it does make for a long list of files. I too, can't wait to see my results, I download daily, but when my card downloads it's 6 day max, I erase the card so it can start over fresh. Then I go Back and CAREFULLY ERASE the daily files, to keep the tree size down. Check the file before you erase it to be sure it's not one you want to keep. Jim

If you do it right you end up with a bunch of 6 day files, I also keep the data in a Excel file as a backup, in case I mess up, Never going to happen!, Right!!!

It keeps hours of use (compliance) and pressures for a long time (how long-no idea).
the detailed info stays for 6 days-on the seventh day it bumps "day 1" off and keeps day 7. On "day 8"-day 2 gets bumped in favor of day 8. So you will have compliance data for months but detailed data on apneas, hypopneas, snores, etc for the prior 6 days only.

I download mine every Sunday. It's 16 pages now and I don't erase. I get the last 7 days. I convert to a pdf file and save those.

Thanks for all your help.

Goofproof (or anyone else who might know the answers):

How do you access the data files out of SQL?
- What are the files located?
- What are the table names?
- What program do you use to access the data?
- Are you using Excel or Access and doing an ODBC link, etc.?
- Can you copy the data from an Excel file (or Access) back into the SQL database if you delete the wrong file? If yes, is this done by simple cut & paste?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It is very unfortunate...if only getting the mask(s) to fit comfortably, not create welts on my nose and not leak were as easy as the data analysis!!!

We need to come up with "Pad-A-Data", to relieve Data Marks from Encore Pro.

I tried some program in Excel to read the MSSQL Server, but the wouldn't work with Encore Pro's version. All I got for my trouble was a file pop-up in excel that it looks for every time I use excel, that I can't get rid of without a reformat. That's the price I pay for being a program testbed. Jim

Could a nap be the reason why I only get 6 days of detailed info-I take a nap on the weekend-missed this past weekend and when I looked at my info I had 7 days. The nap comes out on its own page but I never made the connection.

That's keyrect krousseau. If you want to take a nap, slide the card partially out.....nap and then put it back. That way, it is not recorded as a seperate day.

At the right time frame it can be add to a current day shown as a break it treatment, but I want mine to be there so I don't trust a seven day download, 6 is my max. Jim
