Pugsy or other pros!

Post by Jeff L » Sun Jan 10, 2016 12:27 pm

I have finally downloaded Sleepy Head and have looked at all of the data for the first time... Needless to say it is confusing! I want to upload stuff for you to look at, but am not sure what I need to upload. Any suggestions on exactly what you need me to upload for you to look at?

Thanks!

What I like to see are the basics and mentioned in this thread
viewtopic/t103468/Need-help-with-screen-shots.html

Daily detailed page
AHI stuff on the left with the calendar and pie chart hidden so the statistics are easily seen.
On the right just these graphs to start with and if anything else is needed it can be requested.
Events
Flow Rate
Pressure
Leak

all the above can be put on one screen shot but turning off or moving unneeded graphs and a bit of resizing of the graphs.
Much easier to evaluate 1 image than having to try to sort through all those various graphs which really don't help much anyway.

Beats me! I would think, (assume), printing in vertical, (portrait), rather than horizontal, (landscape), would be preferable. JMHO

Do not need both pressure and mask pressure...I prefer regular pressure line but others may prefer mask pressure but there is no need for both.

Where's the AHI break down bar graphs and statistics on the left side?

Though from what you did post nothing looks real exciting.
I do see at least 2 breaks in therapy where you turned the machine off briefly and then back on. Any special reason or did you have more wake ups than that?

Something similar to this image with the stuff on the left and right side all in one image. I think this one was from my trial with the Amara View mask and the large leak was when it moved a bit.

Jeff, try this tutorial https://sleep.tnet.com/reference/tips/imgur

The images you posted don't include any settings or machine information on the left which is important. The number of events are okay, and leaks look good from here. You have several obstructive events, and some CA showing. The CA may be nothing but some tossing in bed where you hold your breath. Nothing is in clusters that would point to a problem. Looks like CPAP pressure at 11.5 with EPR at 3. What concerns or questions do you have?

The only thing I can think of with the machine turning off is when I get up to go to the bathroom. Do I need to change the settings so it does not cut off?

there's nothing wrong with the machine turning off when you get up and aren't using it, as long as it gets turned back on when you lie back down. having it off when not in use makes for cleaner looking data.

No. I was only mentioning the 2 breaks in therapy as a comment and wondering if there were more times where you were maybe awake. Fragmented sleep will affect how we feel the next day.
You didn't mention if there was anything in particular that was bothering you so I was just commenting about the known breaks in therapy.

Bathroom breaks...do you have the usual prostate issues that often affects males?

Were you concerned about anything specifically that you see on these reports?

From what I see ...nothing just screams out "fix me". If you are having issues of some sort then maybe explaining the issues would be of assistance and give us a starting point for looking.

No real problems... Just have not been sleeping as good as I have been. Was thinking about upping my pressure, but then thought I might change the settings from CPAP to auto to see if that might help.

I do not really have any prostate problems other than being 46! I do talk Flomax before bed, but that is to help with kidney stones.

Thanks for looking Pugsy and to everyone else who posted in this thread!

I don't see any real need to go changing the pressures to auto. On paper at least everything looks pretty good.

Could you post the flow limitation graph for the night above?
The statistical numbers for the flow limitations don't point to high numbers but maybe something is there at a low level that might warrant investigation.

It wouldn't be impossible for some minor flow limitations to maybe be a small factor in less than optimal sleep quality.
Do you have any other health issues that might affect sleep quality? Like pain or discomfort?
Do you take any meds that might affect sleep quality or how you feel during the day? Besides the Flomax do you take any other meds?

Interesting though is when I searched side effects for Flomax at one place I saw fatigue and at another
http://www.rxlist.com/flomax-side-effec ... center.htm
I found sleep problems (insomnia) listed. That surprised me because I didn't think it was known to have any side effects towards sleep quality.

While I normally wake up briefly more than 2 times in a night it's nowhere near like what it means when we actually get up and turn the machine off and go pee each time. What is going on with you is going to impact your sleep quality more than my little brief awakenings.
So just the 2 pee breaks could possibly be impacting sleep quality to some extent...and it sure isn't helping things for sure.
