Mask affecting bite??

Post by Jake00 » Mon Dec 28, 2015 10:02 pm

Can this happen? Or just my imagination?

I've got a full face resmed f10. The bottom of the mask sits right where my teeth meet my gums.
Lately my bite has felt different (sore, teeth not feeling like they line up ).

I've had the mask about 4-5 weeks

Look for a different mask.
In my case, it was the only solution; and no one will accept responsibility
for damage you LET happen.

I have been noticing a similar problem. After using the same FF mask for almost 7 years, the past few months I have noticed some changes in my bite. I did go to a jaw doctor and showed him how I wear my mask. He didn't think the mask had anything to do with it. Jaw x-rays showed that the left jaw joint was showing wear from age and would cause this slight change. At this point I have not pursued the matter.

It definitely could. See your dentist for an exam to make sure everything ok.

Den's advice regarding tightening the straps too much could be be very applicable in your cause so see if you can away with loosening them without it affecting your leak level. But definitely see your dentist.
