Please ignore this message. The Christmas holiday and weekend are over, so I was able to talk to my LinCare person.
When I had my sleep study, I woke up after just one hour and felt better than I've felt in years.
I got my CPAP machine 4 days ago. Seven hours with my nasal mask isn't as good as the one
hour with the nasal mask at the sleep study center. What is the difference? How can I explain
this to the medical people?
Thanks.

Hi, we need to know a lot more about things before advising... but your experience is not new, though don't imagine you're now stuck with substandard treatment either.
Below the logo at the top of the pg is a tiny 'User Control Panel". When you click it, a Profile tab will open so you can fill in the fullest name possible of your machine that you can find, plus what type of mask you're using and what your pressure setting(s) are. What about the ramp feature and timing of that (if you used it at all)?
Plus anything else at all you can think of that might have been a factor, whether odd bedtime, overly conscious of how you were breathing (rather than allowing the machine to match you). Did you get up overnight and is that normal or not? Using a humidifier? What about room temperature?

Ask for the same mask that you had during your sleep study. That's what I may switch to. I'm struggling now although I didn't when I first started.Phalbe wrote:When I had my sleep study, I woke up after just one hour and felt better than I've felt in years.

I've completed as much information as I can tonight. My room temperature is set on 62 F. I wake up about every two hours. I have the humidity set on 6, but I believe that's too much. Setting at 4 is too dry. Five and six both cause congestion.
My sleep study AHI index was 12.6.
