Except with the Mask, I don't sleep (NONE) so what difference would it make?

Why is it impossible for some to understand?

What I don't understand is......... what exactly you want/expect from the membership at this point. I imagine that most here have grown very weary of your NUMEROUS threads/posts. I have ! If you can't do this therapy, there's not much else to discuss. (IMO) I doubt that a pity party held in your honor is too likely benefit anyone. Understand ?

I don't think anyone knows the reason why it would work for one person and not another just like why one person might be allergic to something and millions of others aren't. You might just need to find an alternative to CPAP if you feel you have given it your all and it hasn't worked. There are alternatives out there, whether they work or not I don't know. I still struggle with the CPAP but have given up completely yet. Am going again in the morning to get fitted for another mask.

I don't believe Provent is the answer for E. It's problematic even for people with no trouble on Cpap (who use it for travelling) and is certainly not a long term answer. I suggested biofeedback, self hypnosis, etc. but have heard nothing about trying them - apparently complaining is easier.

I believe that HoseCrusher tried Provent and ran into major issues with it when he put on his honey facial and his wife started licking it off and got honey stuck in the nose piece. The poor guy didn't realize it until he went to sleep and almost suffocated on honey.

Then they are true for you. Until you stop making excuses for not being at a healthy weight, you will remain unhealthy. And I'm not saying that to hurt your feelings I am telling you the truth. You're gonna give that shit, then it goes both ways. You have not put in the time to better your health. And you have no excuses. Why aren't you running marathons?

Do we really know that for sure about Provent? I know the studies so far have been done by the company which obviously doesn't put much weight into the results either way.

I have tried it briefly but can't say I have given it a fair shot for various reasons. But interestingly, in one of the recent articles on the cpap.com website, a sleep med physician talked about a patient with severe apnea who was well treated by using Provent, a dental device, and sleeping on her side. Personally, I can't imagine sleeping with all that stuff but heck, whatever works, right?

Agree isn't the answer for E since he is a mouth breather.
