Full Face Mask for Stomach Sleeping?

Post by Hopefullady » Fri Dec 11, 2015 10:49 am

I'm perusing the site reading, but in the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions for a full face mask that I might be able to stomach sleep with?

BTW, I just noticed as I sit here "practicing" with my current mask, that I can slip it on OVER my reading glasses which is great, since I need to read myself to sleep. Only problem is, I can't get the glasses OFF!

PS can't use nasal mask because my lips flutter

It's as much the pillow as it is the mask. I have been using the Quattro for 6 years. I sleep primarily on my side and stomach without problems. You just need to move around to find a head position that works.

Thanks much. I'll try it.

The Pur-sleep CPAP pillow by member sleepguy allows you to create a HUGE temporary hole/hollow anywhere in the pillow by just using your hands. It's because of the buckwheat hulls inside the pillow. I've got one and like it. He was giving them away a week or two ago to CPAPtalk members, PM him and ask if he's still running that program.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I will second SNOs endorsement of Sleepguy's buckwheat hulls pillow. Head pillows are no longer a problem for me.

Want more?

Yrs ago I cut out (with an elec. turkey carving knife) a 1' long x 3" wide and 3-4" deep trench at the head of my mem. foam mattress going towards the foot. My FFM goes in diag. (sometimes even almost vertical, like a massage table thing) and I've continued to use it (on newer matts since then) all along. I've had to play games with sheets to get it all fitted, but as I'm alone now and only bed partner's my cat, who cares what it looks like! It's best to cut the width narrow at first and widen to fit as needed. V. Important tho', my mask vents higher on the frame than others - NOT at the angle - so if the angle touches the foam sideways or on the bottom of the trench, I'm not blocking CO2 coming out.
