Sleeping on your stomach with a mask?

Post by Knight_47 » Sun Dec 06, 2015 4:15 pm

I know it's not good to sleep on your stomach, but I've always slept on my stomach for as long as I can remember, and really cannot sleep any other way. Recently received a machine from a local medical supply co near by, but I can't for the life of me fall asleep with this thing on. Has anyone had any success stories of using any sort of mask that would facilitate sleeping on your stomach? This is the Cpap mask I'm currently using now, any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance

It's abundantly obvious that you're shilling for a specific website which sells equipment.
SO, my suggestion is.........
Why don't you go to THEIR forum and ask the same questions......after you edit your post and remove all of the advertising links.

What advertising links? I linked to the specific mask I have in hopes of someone being able to help me find an alternative mask for my sleeping style? Is this not allowed? I can remove the link if needed, I just assumed it would be more helpful. Sorry for breaking any rules? I'm new here.

I'm simply looking for a mask that is a bit friendlier on sleeping on your stomach, or with your face down on a pillow. The company I purchased it from does not have a support forum, and it is Sunday... Hence, why I came here, expecting to get advice from veterans on the subject as I'm a novice with this cpap and I feel like I'm about to give up on it already.

Thanks for your help though, I guess.

If you do a forum search (above) on the word "falcon", you'll find lots of discussions on stomach sleeping.

Your equipment is listed at the bottom of your posts.
The links within the message are not needed, unless you are being paid to put them up. (A forum violation)
You could simply do a search on stomach sleeping or falcon position to get your answers.

The ones in your signature and your post.

Might want to remove them before someone removes all your posts as spam.

That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you.

I thought that was standard as I was browsing the forum, but I see what you mean, there is a specific section for equipment, apart from the forum signature. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the clarification. Will move them shortly.

Thanks for the help.

I'm a stomach sleeper too. I had zero success with a mask until I switched to a buckwheat pillow. Using that I can create a little spot for the mask to sit so it doesn't get dislodged while sleeping. Even then, I have had zero success using a FFM. I've only been able to use a a nasal pillow mask (ResMed P10). Good luck.

I use a resmed activa LT mask, and a down pillow that I can hang my head off of the side of it. Happily on my stomach all night long.

I use a Ff Mask and a buckwheat pillow. I sleep primarily on my left side, but about 25% on my stomach. No problem whatsoever.

I don't "Falcon" and sleep on my stomach all the time. head on edge of pillow with the mask hanging off the edge, works just fine for me.
Sleeping MUCH better now

I started with the comfort full mask and sleep on my stomach all the time. My equipment is listed in my signature.

I use a buckwheat hulls pillow.
