As far as how warrenty repairs are handled. You send your damaged machine back to where you bought it, they send it back. If it's a warrenty repair, they send you a reconditioned machine, NOT your orgional one.

I myself feel it's a unfair practice, but it's what's usually done. If the damage was the result of your own stupidity, I feel the repair should be totally on you. Luckily more that likely they will fix it.

It does not turn on -- that's the problem
-- so after I sent the machine to them, then send back another one - that doesn't turn on

They tell me its water damage - but I don't' have a humidifier
--- they told me even before I sent it in - they don't cover water damage - so this indicates its a known problem with this "expensive unit"

Its a piece of garbage made in Taiwan

Anyone here can search for the other thread and see your same exact post

So, you really don't care if other people get screwed -- your a horrible person

No - I only posted after months of trying to get them to help and after they removed my review....I only reviewed the machine, not cpap - well, that is until now, when they removed the review
Maybe it was because you never stated what the perceived "problem" was. Just like here......you've said it was "broken" but never said how or what it does or doesn't do that qualifies it as "broken" in your mind.

You're not helping your cause one little bit. You need to either state the actual problem or shut the hell up.

I think what the man is asking you is what exactly was the problem with the machine? Was it sparking or flowing flames at you or just not turning on. Den has a lot of knowledge here on this board. I owe him many thanks!

I am sorry to read that you are having issues. I hope you can get them resolved to your satisfaction.

I wish you well...

"SOL "
yes - and the only reason for posting this - is NOT to get the machine fixed, that's past the point

Its to warn others not to buy this machine - and don't' expect anything from cpap - especially after they removed my review of the unit

I was not made at CPAP, until they removed my review to warn others

Buzzby wrote:Been a lurker and finally registered as this issue struck a cord with me.

The machine you purchased from the forum sponsor has a serial number which was included in your sales receipt and held on file with the seller. If you never used water and the manufacturer claimed water damage was the issue, you should have made that clear in writing back to the manufacturer. Further, I would have been all over the manufacturer with the proof that the machine they returned to you was not the machine you sent in for warrantee work. Their diagnosis may have been spot on for the machine that was returned to you and a mistake on their part.

If you had gone through that exercise and did not get the resolution you expected....then you should have provided all the communication and explain to the seller that the manufacturer cant possibly be right as they returned a machine to you that does not match the serial number sold to you.

At this point, I think you are SOL given how poorly you have handled this by coming out with a full attack, rather than clearly stating the issue and asking the good folks here for their opinion on how to move forward.

The Seller is bound by the water diagnosis given by the manufacturer, and there hands are tied unless you can explain how the machine returned was not yours. But again, at this point, you are likely not going to get much help.

Now we're making progress. That's what we've been trying to find out all along.

Are you trying them in the same outlet?
Have you tried different outlets?
Have you checked the outlets to make sure they're putting out the required voltage?
Do any lights come on?

What country are you in? Most of these machines are dual voltage, you know.

Actually, that is quite funny .
".When you have nothing important in your life :"

I only posted after months of frustration - you just troll the DB's to post criticism - -- talk about not having a life..now that's funny

yes, did all that ---- so basically the warranty is good for 2 years, unless its water damage - however, that is up to the vendor to decide - and since they get to decide - it seems it will always be water damage..

CPAP should get this model off their site...

Do you even own or did you purchase the humidifier with the machine when you initially bought it?
If you did NOT, then you should have an strong argument to make with "whomever" (manufacturer) that it couldn't be water damage (unless you took it in the shower with you).

And, if it IS (supposedly) "water damage", it would not seem logical that they would have replaced the machine......which they apparently did.......if they didn't have to.

When you sent it back to the place you purchased it from, did they find the same problem?
Did they test the replacement machine they sent to you for functionality.......and before they sent it to you? Ask them.

That is correct -- I DID NOT purchase a humidifier

and yes, they sent me back another machine - but again, another broken machine

So yes - how in the hell could it be water damage without a humidifier
....and, yes, I am pissed off since all they will say is "water damage" and no matter how many times I ask - all I hear is "I'm sorry"

Even before I sent the first machine in, they said "Water Damage" is not covered --- so it left me wondering, why would they even have the need to say water damage - even before seeing it - -- Unless --- they have seen this before.

Ask them.
Tell them to PROVE how it could possibly be "water damage" when in fact you don't even have a humidifier on your machine........didn't buy one, don't own one and have never had one attached to your machine.

For what it's worth, the "water damage" exclusion is in EVERY manufacturer's warranty disclaimer. So, it's not just the one you have.

Also, have you sent back the second one (replacement) they sent you?

Ok in their defense he may not be able to afford to pay more than he did. So with that said my Mom always said buy the best you can afford.
