Premature Ventricular Contractions
Premature Ventricular Contractions
Have other members been diagnosed with frequent pvcs from sleep apnea prior to initiating their cpap treatment?
For those who were, did the pvcs improve after cpap was started? Over how long a period of time did it take to see improvement?
For those members who were diagnosed with central sleep apnea prior to any cpap/asv therapy, is yours idiopathic CSA or a result of a medical condition?

Re: Premature Ventricular Contractions
My complex apnea was idiopathic, no prior cardio condition. Every time I showed a new doc some Cheyne-Stokes breathing, it was off to the echocardiogram folks.

Re: Premature Ventricular Contractions
Was diagnosed with PVC's before CPAP. In more recent times developed PAC's too. However, after starting CPAP my PVC's became less problematic. No more runs that left me feeling weak.

Here's a pretty big thread that talks about a-fib and PVCs:

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Re: Premature Ventricular Contractions
I may have, but it was never diagnosed. In any case, it's not there now.
No more waking up with a mini jackhammer in my chest.
I was given a clean bill of health before my surgeries earlier this year.

Re: Premature Ventricular Contractions
I had been on CPAP for 6 years with no diagnosed heart problems. Out of the clear blue sky I developed extremely frequent, extreme symptomatic PVCs. I had an ablation and now I have random, normal PVCs. Not sure what if there is any relationship between Sleep apnea and PVCs. I am just grateful for one wonderful cardiologist who "fixed" me.

Re: Premature Ventricular Contractions
I have also been recommended to have an ablation for my very frequent pvcs but hope the asv therapyI just began will diminish them. I would be interested to read about your ablation experience.

Re: Premature Ventricular Contractions
My brother had ablation, in either Denver or Salt Lake City.
He felt better immediately. Much better.
My sister-in-law nearly had to arm wrestle him to prevent him from trying to drive home.
Get the best doc you can.
