First Night of Sleeping with Simplicity Mask - it whistles!

Post by GeeBee » Wed Aug 16, 2006 1:50 pm

Well, guess I'm no longer a virgin LOL but that doesn't mean I know exactly what's going on!

Before my machine ramped up to the full 8m, my mask whistled!

Anyone else experience this with the simplicity?

Also, i used the humidifier and my nose wasn't so dry but my mouth was extremely dry and my soft pallet is tender this morning. Is this typical?

when you say "sounds like mouth breathing" are you referring to my dry mouth and sore soft pallet?

I had a simplicity that did it. I found that if I washed my face before sleeping (make sure your face is still slightly damp) and putting on the mask and making sure the mask edge was slightly wet too (sometimes I licked it) that I got a good seal.

Reseating it on your face if you hear the whisle does help.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I had not been putting my night time lotion on my face because I thought I read somewhere that I was not supposed to use lotion, but at my age if I don't use lotion for a few nights my face is going to crack! Also thought I might be going "goofy" with that whitsle sound -- nice to know someone else heard it too!

I still wouldn't but the lotion on. Just wash and slightly dry your face. Save the lotion for the morning.
