I need to produce a compliance report from my S8 Escape CPAP. I can buy card reader but I guess the software is no longer available. I'm not having any luck calling local companies that Resmed referred. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Resmed S8 card reader and software
Re: Resmed S8 card reader and software
This may be a waste of time...the Escape produces compliance data, but it is so old that, as you know, its difficult to find the card/reader and software. Why do you need compliance for such an old machine?

Re: Resmed S8 card reader and software
My understanding is that the card readers have become quite rare and so are very expensive when/if you can find them - probably more than that cpap machine is worth. It's possible that some doctor's offices may still have the readers and be able to produce reports for you.
Find out if you can satisfy the requirement in another way like maybe taking pictures of the usage display and/or bringing the machine into a DME or doctor's office and having them "certify" the hours of use.
And you might want to keep an eye out for a newer machine. I was able to buy a Respironics 550P on craigslist with very low hours for $100 when the owner got a newer machine through his insurance. Make sure that if you buy anything that it uses sd cards and not a proprietary card - either Resmed S9 or newer or PR 550 or newer.

Re: Resmed S8 card reader and software
The software is indeed available.
See this website for instructions on how to get ResScan software.

Now the special card reader....it's really hard to find as not any old smart card reader will work. It takes a very special card reader.

Re: Resmed S8 card reader and software
The current version of ResScan is able to download the data from the S8.
cpap.com has data card readers but no data cards. 1800cpap.com has data cards. Search both sites for ResScan.
