Please stick to one thread for all your Q's etc... makes our life a lot easier than having to run around trying to see the rest of your story to make sense of things.

I saw your post before you deleted it....which was not necessary IMHO.
You were asking the value on a used ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet machine.
To me it depends on what "barely used" means...my idea might be different than someone else's idea of barely used. Barely used to me is less than 100 hours but that's just me.

Online new those machines retail for a little less than $900....and if you found a slightly used one for half that price...unless the hours of use are higher (say over 2,000) then I would think that is a very fair price.
If the hours of use are less than 300...more than fair.

PS I saw your post also. I understood it fine. No need to move it. You got excellent answer from previous poster.

OP's only other thread was the "hello" thread.
viewtopic/t107171/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1 ... 7#p1021057
Counting the deleted post....6 posts. In one thread where she replied she got blasted for not asking questions...then she starts a new thread and gets blasted for not sticking this question in her other "hello" thread????

I sure hope that she hasn't been run off.....she has turned off her PM button.
Nice way to make newbies feel welcome...criticize them right from the start.

All she wanted to know was fair value for a used machine that she was thinking about buying as a backup machine.
I was going to reply sooner than I did but my internet connection decided to act up right when I was composing a reply.
Sigh....hopefully she will be back.

I've been doing a lot of reading since joining this forum. Lots of good people and great suggestions and advice. Still, I'm amazed how some people talk to one another, and even more amazed that they are allowed to get away with it. Why would a person tell another person to go and post in a different thread? I thought at first this person was a moderator and then did some searching and found there are no moderators on this forum??? If there are no moderators then several people seem to think they run this forum. All very strange.

harping about the way the forum is run causes more strife and turmoil that most anything else.

Ahh -- not harping (your interpretation) however, what you are essentially saying is that only certain opinions are allowed. Not the way I roll.

Good night.

Settle down, kids...true, THIS forum is unmoderated...others are heavily moderated, and don't allow members to get out of line or even ask certain questions, post useful links, etc. since everything is cyclical, I would assume that the hatemongering will go away, and the forum will go back to what it was before. Of course, peace will only last so long before the cycle starts again...or maybe it's medication that causes the cycles...? Hmmm...

I thought Sherriff Buford kept law and order in these parts.

Hi Folks,
I see the "deleted thread" went on without me. LOL!

Pugsy is correct in discerning why I deleted the thread, however, its over and done with now. I hold no offense toward the member who was "guiding" me and have moved on.

An update, though, we are going to (hopefully) buy the "never used" twin to my machine tomorrow. I found information on how to find the hours of usage in the setup menu and am taking my hose and mask along to give the machine a quick try. The price is $400 which, if it really has no hours on it, is a great price! If it is not what was advertised we will either deal or walk away. Either way we get a nice drive to a beautiful part of our state for the day.

Have a nice evening everyone!
