What to put in the humidfier? Silver metal

I put a pure silver line (999 silver) circled ( 1mm in diameter and 450 cm in lenth~2 oz) in my Remstar humidfier.
The price was only NTD 680 ( ~20 USD)
It works OK.
I am not sure if silver kills bacteria or mold but I am sure that silver ion will not run into your tubing system.
I always use distilled water for my humidfier
I never and will not change water. It always looks clear.

You should not need anything (and the manufacturer specifically warns against this) in your humidifier except distilled water. I dump mine out about once a week just to be safe.

You shouldn't need anything in the humidifier except the distilled water. would you/would you dump & rinse the chamber weekly. There are lots of threads here on cleaning humidifiers.

It is pure BS.

You say it works OK.

I have a dog in my back yard I put there to keep elephants out.
It seems to be working OK too.

Welcome to the forum! You really can ask any questions about cpap and someone on the forum will be able to give you useful information.

Humidifiers have been discussed a lot here and people are very different in how they care for their humidifiers.

Maybe your getting elephants confused with unhooked Cpap-ers walking about, mask on, hoses dragging, looking for a place to plug in. I'm getting this mental picture of zombie like creatures, such as you'd see in night of the living dead movies, chanting, "give us air, give us air." Ironically zombie-like is how I felt before being initiated into the "Order of The Hosehead"

I feel that the original question was answered. The rest is just fun. If you have not figured this out, this is a community of people who "GASP" sometimes joke with one another to help us get throuh this stuff. If you don't have any sense of humor, that's okay, just leave the rest of us be.

It was totally serious and answered absurdity with absurdity to make a point.

His conclusion was seriously flawed and indicated a huge lapse in critical thinking.
I could have suggested he could save money by puttting pennies in there for the copper.
