I see his flow rate jumps up and down.. what does that mean?

in short, smaller and larger breaths. if you zoom in on it, you can see what's happening, you'll see variations in the tidal volume and minute ventilation.Ingjv wrote:I see his flow rate jumps up and down.. what does that mean?
the last chart posted looks good except for the big leaks, long periods of even breathing and no events.
I'd probably set the minimum pressure around 11.

When sleeping, the flow rate should be low and steady. When it jumps up, he has probably awoken (But it may be a brief awakening that he does not become aware of.)Ingjv wrote:I see his flow rate jumps up and down.. what does that mean?
On the charts, do you see events just before the flow rate goes up?

These are Wifey's numbers. I bought a machine just like Hubs. I've had an older machine set at 14 for four or so years.
Can anyone help with interpreting my data? I don't have a dr. to go to for info. I'm just curious to see if I can make my therapy any more effective.
Thanks!

other than working on your leaks, there's not much room for improvement. you could bump the minimum pressure up a cm or two, it might smooth out the pressure changes.Ingjv wrote:These are Wifey's numbers. I bought a machine just like Hubs. I've had an older machine set at 14 for four or so years.
