Smart Start and Stop on Airsense S10

Post by Magicdave » Sun Jun 14, 2015 2:49 am

I've just started using the Airsense S10 after several years with the S9 - and really love the new machine. One slight issue I've noticed is that, despite Smart start and stop being enabled, occasionally the machine carries on blowing air once I've removed the mask - meaning I have to turn it off manually. Not sure this is a malfunction but just wondered if anyone else has noticed this ?

I'm not sure about the Airsense, but the S9 has a feature that maintains minimal air pressure for several minutes after the unit is turned off....drying and cool down.

yes it does have a cool down ..... if you have the mask setting to the wrong mask. the machine may not sense that you have removed the mask.
I will always disconnect the hose for the mask and it will shut down in about 6 sec.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

While I don't use Smart start and stop, I have noticed that when I set the humidity to 0, the machine does not continue to run on low fan mode after I turn it off.

it runs to cool down the humidifier to prevent humidity from going backwards into the blower unit and making it soggy, ergo, it only does the cooldown when you've been using heated humidity.

Mine did the same thing Using nasal pillows, the machine would not shut off automatically. Using the nasal mask, the auto shut off works.

I'm using nasal pillows. It was hit and miss when I was at min pressure of 7 but found that when I upped to min pressure to 8, it always stops.
