Installing the Latest SleepyHead 0.9.3 May, 2013 for Windows

Post by archangle » Tue Jun 04, 2013 3:04 pm

Go here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyh ... e/download

Install. (Run as Administrator)

Done.

At least it worked that way for me. It may be worthwhile to backup your data first.

For me, it installed over the old version with no problems. My old data was still there.

Notes (As of 6/4/2013):

1) If you go to the main sourceforge page, it doesn't automatically select the current version. You have to go to the all files page.

2) Older versions will not automatically update. Just download the new version and install it.

3) There isn't a new version for Linux or Mac yet.

Your dog is more then one year old. So why don't you update the photo?

I had to just point it to the SD card once after updating.

It doesn't know where to look for the data to import until you point it to the root drive directory where the SD card sits.
Stop at the root drive letter...don't go into the SD card itself.
So use MyComputer and navigate to the letter of the drive where the SD card sits.

If you were using SH before and just installed the new version then it probably just needs to be reminded where to look.
Sometimes SH forgets where to look and gets lost. I don't remember if I had to tell it where to look when I installed the new version over the old version. I maybe had to and just did it without thinking.

Be sure to point to the SD card itself, not the Datalog directory. i.e. go to "My Computer," single click on the SD card, and then click "Choose."

Do you have to have your SD card inserted at the time of install??

No not at all. Doesn't matter where the SD card is until you want to import the data.
Though it wouldn't hurt anything but it doesn't do any thing at that point either.

Hello everyone, my very first post here. I just got all my equipment yesterday and am basically a fish out of water.
Is this software "must have" software for windows users?

In theory, your doctor and DME (CPAP seller) will take care of everything.

Many of us here find that "the system" doesn't really manage things for us and think we do better if we take a more active role in monitoring our own therapy.

It's especially important if it's not working well for you and you want to try and find out why.
