In a pinch I've used a hose coming off a 57 Chevy, had to use 2 rolls of Duct tape to make it work.

Why, I am sure I have no idea what you mean! Heavens!

And jlmoore, I am willing to bet duct tape has come in handy to more than 1 one CPAP user!

I was just thinking creatively, looking forward to getting hooked up next week for a machine.

Well at least you didn't try making your own mask out of a [used] jock strap and bungee cords.

That doesn't work.

Happy Friday!!!! I'm going nuts. I'm not good at waiting for things LOL. I'm supposed to hear from the scheduling about dd's ENT appointment before Wednesday and up until now I was praying for a cancellation for the sleep study tonight. Struck out lol

Looked only because I've had the same thought. Seems I keep a small air compressor in the car for inflating flats. It's a lot cheaper!

You could try a space bag for a mask and a bungee cord around the neck for a good seal. This might just work.
