Sleeping pillows (not nasal pillows)

I know the type of pillow we sleep on has a huge effect on the quality of sleep, so I thought I would ask what are you guys/girls using?

I kind of have a special situation in that not only do I have OSA, but I fractured my C2 a few years ago. My neck/back has been a problem area for decades, but since the fracture it's on a whole new level.

My el cheapo latex foam Beauty Rest worked well but has a short life span. Other pillows I've tried: goose down, contoured memory foam, wheat hustk/hull thingy, air; none of which helped.

Back a few years ago Peggy Walman was kind enough to post a patern for
a cpap pillow that you made yourself. This also might be something to look
into because you stuffed it yourself you might adjust the stuffing to your paticular
needs. i have had that one for a while but thought my regular pillow was realy
all I needed well I was wrong. I just got a data reader and found I was having
magor leaks and to many AHI's . By using this "pillow toper" my leaks are now
about 1/2 what they were and my AHI droped from 9 to 5 not perfect but at least
better. I wonder if I might do even better that with that conture pillow?

You might do well with the contour, but I found the memory foam version to be the worse of the lot. It compresses too much during the night and I would wake with one hell of a sore neck and a couple inch flatten lump of mush for a pillow.

I migh try a latex version, memory foam is just the wrong type of matl for a pillow. Used to have a memory foam bed, which was, hands down, the best bed I ever had... but that's a different subject.

I purchased a Mediflow Waterbase Pillow and I love it. I also have an old fracture in my neck and a bulging disc. I filled my pillow to firm and wow. . great support for both my neck and my airway.

Hello. I'm using a Max Cpap pillow by Contour. The nice thing about the pillow is you can remove a 1" insert from inside the pillow if it's too high for you. I've had this for a few months and find it quite comfortable.

I have the Cpap max pillow. Tried to sleep on it a few nights. Way to hard for me. Anyone interested in it I would take offers on it. I bought the pillow and the cover that is made for it.

I'm using the Regenesis buckwheat pillow. It's rock hard but surprising comfortable because it
can be contoured to whatever shape is comfortable. And you can create depressions for the mask.

I only have problems if I try sleeping on a pillow that is too thick;
Most are, for my short neck, and that is painful.
I must be a real sight in B3 trying out pillows.

I am also a long time Regenisis buckwheat pillow user. Have a bad cervical spine and the firmness is perfect for me because I can get it just the right height for proper alignment of my cervical spine. I can make the hulls go into any position I need to keep the neck straight whether on my side or my back. Most bed pillows are too tall for me and I end up sleeping with head forward and neck in sort of a crimp. That usually guarantees a neck headache.

Recently bought the MediFlow water based pillow...only 3 nights so far and still playing with water levels to get desired firmness. The jury is still out on it because 2 out of 3 nights woke up with neck headache...especially this morning but the overnight rains could very well have impacted the experiment since rain messes with my neck anyway.

I have been using the My Pillow the last year and love it.

My sister loves her My Pillow. I used it for a few nights when visiting, and for me it was just.. meh. Not uncomfortable by any means, but I did not love it like she did. It was a pillow that I could use, which is a good thing though!

Great!! I hope it works as well for you as it does for me! Now you just need a waterbed!
