Titration Overnight test tomorrow

Post by johnthomasmacdonald » Mon Apr 22, 2013 1:25 pm

Since I've never actually been fitted for a mask but have found the one i use through an extensive process of trial-and-error ( mostly error), I thought i would let them try to figure out the best mask for me rather then use mine ( a fitlife XL). Although i thought I'd bring mine along in case they can't get one to work ( i don't think they make masks to fit my Brad Pittish, god-like features).

Any other recommendation for anything i should bring or ask?

Maybe your own pillow if you are picky about how soft/firm your pillow is.

If your handsome skull is concealed by gobs of inconvenient hair, it may be time to explore your inner Mr. Clean.

I'm already well on my way to a full Mr. Clean. BUt it's a good point - that gel glop didn't wash out easily - in the end i was washing my hair ( all seven strands) with lava soap.

And Dreamstalker - thanks for the advice about pillows - I do have a special one i use for between my knees for the hip arthritis and i like a sobakawa for molding it directly around the mask in order to stabilize it ( i'm a side sleeper)

Titration is an excellent time to try something new. Have you tried nasal pillows yet?

They may let you sleep on your side for part of the night but they will definitely want you to sleep on your back for the main part. Won't hurt to take all your special sleeping gear with you nonetheless.

yes, i started out with swift Fx and later tried the omni 360 - problems were that i mouth breath and need to tape my mouth but the bigger problem was the havoc they played on my sinuses - i went from never having any sinus problems to having a constantly stuffed nose - used nelli pots and all sorts or stuff . As soon as i went to a ffm, my sinuses went back to normal
