CPAP and Working ???
To wrap up some old business I did receive a S9 AutoSet™ with H5i™ Heated Humidifier and Climate Line tubing from my DME yesterday and it seems to be doing just fine. I have to say that I was impressed with my DME's willingness to listen to what I had to say about this and that while knowing full well that I didn't even know what a CPAP Device was 3 months ago. Not to blow too much smoke on my DME, but they gave me a CPAP book, "All you thought you wanted to know about The World of CPAP Until you Asked". For me to understand this book I would have to be Pugys.
Speaking of Pugys I want to thank her and others for helping me in getting setup with above mentioned equipment, and also the software that I'm now using. Also, I had a sinus problem that seems to have settled down at this point and I want to thank everyone for assisting me with that problem.
Setting aside my ongoing issues with a big-time leaking nasal mask I do seem to be sleeping better at this point in time. Here to before CPAP therapy I was tired all the time and slept here and there whenever I got a chance. My middle name was Naptime for a few years and when I was behind the wheel I was as dangerous as a stick of dynamite. Driving worried me more than anything else, so I ask my wife to drive and I almost stopped driving except for very short trips.
Now, after 3 months of CPAP therapy I now can drive again with the best of them, although I am still somewhat leery when I'm driving. I guess after saying that we all should be a little leery about driving, whether we're sleepy, or wide awake.
Now here's something that has me a little concerned. Although I'm not a lazy person; however I do have my non-productive-days, I now seem to be working all the time; Day Light till Dark. I am sleeping a little longer with CPAP, but I seem to be feeling better when I wake up, so I guess my CPAP therapy is working? With that being said, I'm not to the point of being Hyperactive, but all this moving around throughout the day is very unusual for me. I guess my question is has anyone else noticed the same thing about themselves?
I still have many, many questions as to my CPAP Data, but I'm not going to try to get answers to all of them in one day. I know that I can be a pain in the A$$ because of my techie ways, but I firmly believe that we will only be able to improve ourselves, and assist others through our own education. My plan is to educate myself using this website, etc. and staying with my therapy no matter what.
Thanks Everybody,
FR

Yes, increased energy would be a sign that your treatment is helping.First Reviewer wrote:With that being said, I'm not to the point of being Hyperactive, but all this moving around throughout the day is very unusual for me. Re: CPAP and Working ???
Sounds like the therapy is helping. I've been on cpap for just about two weeks and i've already noticed i'm more focused and productive at work. Great success!

Re: CPAP and Working ???
I work four consecutive 10-hour days each week in addition to a 3-hour round-trip commute each of those days. It would be impossible for me to do that without cpap. There's no question that having good quality sleep does have a positive effect on your energy. Keep up the good work!

I have a similar concern... I wake up after CPAP and I look AMAZING! I look at least 15 years younger than my age. Men that look like Bradley Cooper are hitting on me in the grocery store and I'm like, "Hello?! I'm old enough to be your mother!" My breasts are perky, my wrinkles have disappeared, and my belly is flat. Has anyone else had this problem?First Reviewer wrote:Now here's something that has me a little concerned.... Now I know what the problem is...I have been expecting something else. Looking for the wrong things.SleepingUgly wrote: I have a similar concern... I wake up after CPAP and I look AMAZING! Now that you mention it. I don't need a bra anymore and when I first get up in the morning and look in the mirror I don't scare myself anymore. Either that or I need new glasses badly.
Who am I kidding. Every thing has gone south...Boobs, belly, butt, vision..
To First Reviewer.....I have had some days like you talk about. I just feel awesome and I get a lot of my "to do" list done without much effort. I don't have them every day unfortunately but it isn't because of OSA.
I do have enough of them I won't be giving up cpap because it's like it was when I played gold. I would always have at least one hole out of the round where I couldn't do no wrong. The rest of the holes were in the toilet but I always had one hole that were bring me back another day to play another round.

I remember a lady telling me that her husband said that he figured out why God had your eyesight go when you get older. He said when I take off my glasses you are still beautiful.
