Watch out for the swift elf. You go to bed and it's easy to get a good leak free fit then sometime in the night the elf swaps out your swift because whatever you do you can't get a good seal.

swift and i did pretty well. course, my nasal passages were clear from drowning myself in saline solution, i think the night before and a little last night. and unfortunately i'm clogged up again after using swift (deviated septum) but all in all, this has real promise. it's just one step more cumbersome than an oxygyn thingee at a hospital. so i guess the swift elf must have been busy at someone else's house.

Yah, mine, at least for the first 1/2 hour. Darn!

This is a strange game. You think you have your interface nailed and then the gremlins show up. Normally it has worked with one particular barrel rotation but last night, for some inexplicable reason, the barrel insisted on being almost 45 degrees the other way. Go figger!

I used my swift for a month or so before it started the barrel on it started rotating. I have stopped using it for the time being and before I start up with it again I will have to figure out a way to stop it from doing that.

Nothing wakes me up faster then rainout, but a big leak runs a close second.

hey guys--do you need to put anything in your nose to "hydrate" it and clear it out regularly, with or without swift? with swift, what? i know they say not to use any moisturizers, but i really need some vaseline or saline or whatever in my nose, and i'm concerned about permanently yellowing it. it was yellowish last night and i washed it and dried it, and the yellow came out. but i don't want a yellow mask in a week. i gotta use something, especially with swift.

Try either Ayr gel or Secarious gel. Both are over the counter purchases and are recommended to use with nasal pillow masks.

What kind of leak numbers do you get with the Swift?

I have to say about my Swift that I have acting like a mask junkie with 2 new interfaces since they gave me the Swift but can not really complain about it whatsoever. I toss and turn, sleep every whichaway and it seems to stay sealed. If I have any leak problems it is always early on before going to sleep and otherwise it is as good as gold. I guess I should just be grateful rather than look for something better.

Well, I can always complain though. I do find the gear a little tight and confining and even with PADACHEEKS I still get some marking on my face.

BTW, the PADACHEEKS are great!

I strill haven't gotten my Swift to work. The nasal pain is overwealming for me. Even with AYR gel, my nose goes on a Vendetta.
