Rescan software help please

Post by Merryj » Fri Sep 09, 2011 6:37 pm

I just downloaded the rescan software to my computer and downloaded my statistics. For some reason it does not show me leak data? It show usage, AHI and pressure and that is all. I have looked at the manuals and can't figure out why I can't get the leak data to show. Can anyone help?

Did you select detailed data as well as summary data?

When it asked I had it download all available data - but these are the only reports that show up...

Do you have AHI/pressure, flow...daily detailed graphs for each different night?
Isn't there a choice in ResScan as to what data to show? Make sure leak data is chosen.
If you have detailed data for all the other stuff and make sure the check mark is chosen to show leak, then unplug your machine and plug it back in forcing it to reboot and see if leak data shows up tomorrow.
Some people have had some weird stuff go on like AHI of 0.0 for 2 weeks straight or Leak stuck on 15 for a week and never change. May or may not be related to your problem but sure wouldn't hurt to try.

Do you see tab at the top that say summary graphs? You should be able to see leak graphed there.

I just went into my software to see if I can tell what might be happening. When I first load my card, it automatically downloads summary info only. At the top of the page, there are tabs and if you select download and then select detailed data you should be able to get all data which will include leak. Summary graphs show everything for all days and detailed graph will show a single session in detail.

Here is the link to the tutorial.
http://montfordhouse.com/cpap/resscan_tutorial/

If you are downloading "all" and checking high rate data sessions and it still isn't coming up,
there is an icon of a graph with a check mark on it in the upper right area of the detailed window. Click there and select which info you want graphed and how many to display.
But really, watch the tutorial, it will make things alot easier.

Thanks for the tutorial. I may have to try and download and try asking for the high rate data sessions.

Could it be that my machine is not set up to track leak rate etc? Maybe I have to call my dme..

I think it is probably not your machine, but that you have to look at the parameters on your software graphs. Did you see that part of the tutorial where you can select and deselect graph parameters?

I do see that, but there is nothing there but these three items AHI, Pressure, Usage. Under detailed graphs it just says no data available.

I am frustrated that I can't figure this out.

Make sure you have updated your download options to include detailed data and high rate data.

Download your card again. Be sure to select OVERWRITE when prompted.

ResScan is buggy. If it didn't download correctly the first time and you don't overwrite on the next try, you will still have the same incomplete data/report staring back at you. Over the past week, I have had to download the data with overwrite 4 times. That's not a good track record for software used in patient monitoring. Wonder what a DME would do? No I guess I don't wonder.
