Need help with Smart Card reader purchase.....
Hi Everyone,
I posted a question earlier but haven't gotten any responses, I thought maybe because I didnt sign in first. I am wanting to order the Encore Smart card reader and software from this web site but its offered in USB and Serial port. I am not computer savy, so I don't understand the difference. I have a Compaq Presario PC with hardrive. I know it has a USB connection because I have used my digital camera with it. Does this mean I should order the USB one?
Help please!
Suzy

You are showing you use a Resmed S8 Elite CPAP, H3i Heated Humidifier, bag, hose and manuals. Are you sure it uses the Encore Software? I thought the Encore Software was only for Respironics machine, that software uses the USB reader, double check the software that works with your machine and the hook-ups it requires.
I have the Respironics machine.

Suzy,
If you are interested in ordering the card reader through 2factors, PM me. I tried to help Aisling buy one but I got the same minimum order of $30 message when I tried. So if we can do a two-card reader order, it would be $48 plus and it would work.
Let me know...PM me if you are interested.

I have attempted to purchase form 2-factor today and am having trouble with the site. It keeps bouncing me to the login window.
Do I need to join the purchase group from here, the reader I am looking at is $30. But because I can't get any further in the process, I am not sure what the problem is you have with your purchase.
NJY
btw -- I am using IE.

Good catch, GoofProof! If snoozie_suzy is indeed using a ResMed S8 Elite cpap machine, she would not be able to use Encore Pro software and would not want to order a reader for Respironics Encore Pro's "Smart Card".Goofproof wrote:You are showing you use a Resmed S8 Elite CPAP, H3i Heated Humidifier, bag, hose and manuals. Suzy, ResMed machines use Autoscan software, not Encore Pro software.

You need to apply just like a forum, I guess they like to know who they are dealing with. They then confirm your user name and password by e-mail, then you can log-in and purchase. I know a lot of work but to save $20 I can stand a 15 minute waste of time, It's a lot easier than trying to get your rebate from TigerDirect. I think they use thoes big Tiger teeth to hold onto your rebate until you get a lawyer. We have been going around for 3 month trying to get a $50 rebate for a Seagate drive, no joy yet, but I will hound them into the grave.

When you go to the 2 factors site click on the very first one. It is the one with sliding and postal contained in brackets. The price for that one is $30.80. That should get you by the $30.00 limit. If not I'm in trouble.I tried to help Aisling buy one but I got the same minimum order of $30 message when I tried

What I did was I got guested, and meant to quote a guest post. I ended up writing inside the guest post instead, changing the guest post.
And it looked like the guest had written the whole thing. By being able to do this someone could change the guests post to mean something entirely different than the orgional intent.
