POLL: What is your current 90/95% or constant pressure?
I did a search for such a poll, and it appears that you haven't had a poll like this for a while.
The question is simple. The more responses the better. I am curious to know the distribution.
Please post a comment about your pressure so that this poll doesn't get buried on the next page before many people have seen it.

For the record, answering the poll "bumps" it to the top. Posting a comment immediately after answering the poll really doesn't improve on that.

My 90% pressure stays right around 5. Used to be 9 but lost 60 lbs. and now pressure needs much reduced.

Between 9 and 10 at the moment.....usually closer to 9 but have several factors that likely are raising it at the moment......
I answered with the range ending at 9.9 because that is the range it usually is in over the last 6 months.

Re: POLL: What is your current 90/95% or constant pressure?
After resisting a data check for about 12 days, I looked this morning.
I did a 2 week analysis and it looks as if I may need a bit of an increase in the upper threshold of my pressure range, as the 95th percentile was at 15.9 and my maximum is 16.
Will likely do a 28 day test run at 10-20 starting at the beginning of next month (which conveniently has exactly 28 days).
For the record, my Rx'd pressure range was 7-16, which I bumped up to 9-16 almost 3 weeks ago.
Unrelated, I FINALLY GOT MY LEAKS UNDER CONTROL! *pumps air* I decided to stop obsessing about leak rates and just let things be, which is why I hadn't done a data check in almost 2 weeks. This morning's data check has revealed that my 95th percentile has been UNDER 20L/min of late!
THANK YOU, JANKNITZ! Your video has helped me achieve this!

I checked between 11 and 12. My 90 % runs around 11.8 or so. My range is 7 to 15, and my ahi is .8, and no leaks. I'm pretty pleased so far.
Re: POLL: What is your current 90/95% or constant pressure?
My set CPAP pressure is currently 7.6. My titrated pressure was 6.0.

Good to see you, slapmeawake!
How in the world did you lose 60 pounds? And why? How are you sleeping now with a pressure of only 5?

Re: POLL: What is your current 90/95% or constant pressure?
Hey Bev, I lost the 60 lbs around 2 yrs ago doing Weight Watchers. I still need to lose another 20. I'm actually sleeping worse than when I was heavy, go figure. Went on HRT to see if that would help. Not much. Went to Dr. they lowered pressure to 5 per my data on card. I can breathe fine at that low pressure. Doc wanted me to go without machine, he said the air might actually be disturbing my sleep at this point since my pressure is so low now. My apnea was always mild he said, which I didn't know. I tried but I sleep better with machine than without so I guess I still need that little bit to keep airway open. I wake up around every 2 - 3 hrs. Never sleep through the night but I'm used to it now. I guess those days are over for me. Don't know what else to do at this point except grin and bear it. Know of any meetings coming up in the area? Glad to see you on here also. Carol

Bioidentical Progesterone
Try bioidentical topical progesterone; it's a cream you rub on thin, untanned skin for easiest absorption. If you're still cycling, only use on days 14-28; if menopausal, use 3 weeks, then don't use for 1 week. You want a cream that says USP Progesterone in the label. Rub on the equivalent of 20-22 grams each night before bed...really helps reduce the sleeping issues that accompany these shifts in hormones.slapmeawake wrote:...actually sleeping worse than when I was heavy...Went on HRT to see if that would help. Re: POLL: What is your current 90/95% or constant pressure?
Do you need a script for that progesterone? I guess I would have to come off the Hormone Replacement pills first, as I think they have progesterone in them. I'm at my wits end. I am pretty sure my sleep issues are hormonal. All I get is " we don't sleep as well the older we get and menopause causes sleep issues in a lot of women" Sure wish I could sleep through the night but I guess I should be glad I feel pretty good when I don't wake up extra early even though I wake up a few times a night. I fall asleep fine, its staying asleep thats my problem.

Thank you to all who participated in the poll. It looks like we are starting to approximate a normal curve. One can see where one fits in the distribution. I welcome additional responders to vote in the poll. Thanks again!
