Re: Friend/Foe Feature
If the Friend/Foe works, I will probably use the feature to block you. I find your posts totally annoying. You're a newbie, but see fit to critique everything and everyone. You seem to know all of the answers. Yet, you have not successfully conquered your own issues with cpap. Settle down woman!

I suppose based on those criteria, I'm going to get blocked too.anonymous12121 wrote:If the Friend/Foe works, I will probably use the feature to block you. I find your posts totally annoying. wow, that was hateful
for what it's worth, i adore secret agent girl. so what if she's new at this? her attitude and way of "attacking" this is admirable.
and she has an awesome name.

Might sound like high-school-clique shenanigans, but it's not.secret agent girl wrote:Do you use it? Do the people one selects as 'friend' or 'foe' know that?
Just wondering how it works and what it adds to the already-wondrous cpaptalk experience...
My first thought was it seemed a bit high-school-ish, but maybe I'm missing something.
I use the feature. Adding someone as a Friend just makes it easier to communicate with them via PM, as far as I can tell. ("If the template has relevant support any posts made by a friend may be highlighted." I've never seen a highlighted post by any Friend on my list, so I'm guessing the "relevant support" doesn't exist.)
Adding someone as a Foe blocks all of their posts from your view, but PMs are still permitted.
I haven't Foe'd anyone, as I do believe in an open forum concept with little (if any) moderation. (An obvious troll would be a good candidate for the Foe list, IMO.)

Re: Friend/Foe Feature
Wow, I thought this had to be a joke at first, that at the end there would be a little smiley or comment that you were kidding. Entitled to your opinion, yes, but this is harsh.anonymous12121 wrote:If the Friend/Foe works, I will probably use the feature to block you. I find your posts totally annoying. secret agent girl--love that name, btw!--the foe does block the posts of those you have "foed," but obviously only if you're signed in. If you come to the forum without always logging in, then you'll see all the posts as usual, so I don't see it as that big of a deal. There is a way to block PM's from individuals, which comes in handy if someone is sending you PM's you'd rather not get. I have heard of that happening, although not to me.

I do love that not-so-anonymous anonymous feature of this site.

Re: Friend/Foe Feature
Since I make many of my posts annoying on purpose, I am often surprised that some still seem to read them. I once tried to put myself on my own foes list, since I occasionally find myself annoying, but I was still able to read what I wrote, and therefore that didn't work out so well for me. I was still able to PM myself, anyway.
Secret Agent Girl, your spunk and your enthusiasm for the forum experience is particularly commendable because things have not always gone so smoothly for you in your treatment. Thanks for using this forum for what it is for.
As for guest: The joke went bad. (A forum foe-pa, if you will.) Next time use a smiley. And be aware that guests are often identified (sometimes correctly, sometimes incorrectly) when they have posted before with a registered name.

Actually I think it IS a grade school feature for the more sensitive members of the forum.secret agent girl wrote:Do you use it? Do the people one selects as 'friend' or 'foe' know that?

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I'm glad you're here, Jeff. Your posts usually make me laugh or think (or both).

It says that this person is Scrapper viewtopic/t48087/memberlist.php?mode=vi ... le&u=45146
I've actually had quite pleasent conversations with Scrapper so I'm hoping that it was just a case of different people with the same ip address or something.
Re: Friend/Foe Feature
I enjoy reading Secret Agent Girl's posts! She has given some excellent advice to help others. You can be a relative "newbie" and still have plenty to share that may help someone else. I learn from people's posts where they're trying to work out difficulties too. We can be knowledgeable about some things, while still having problems with other aspects of therapy. We all have challenges to work out with this treatment, and we should feel comfortable expressing our concerns.anonymous12121 wrote:If the Friend/Foe works, I will probably use the feature to block you. Um, ya. It's never cool to attack someone personally. We can have differing viewpoints, but still be respectful. There are a lot of different personalities here, but we are all working toward the same goal -- getting the most effective xPAP results. As for guest: The joke went bad. (A forum foe-pa, if you will.)
