Something that might work for nose rubs
I am always looking for new things to help with being compliant. As a new user of the Comfort Gel FF I wanted to see if I could find something other than tape or mole skin to prevent redness and soreness on the bridge of my nose. And lo and behold I found something that for me is working great. It is put out by Band-aid and it is call the Friction Block stick (looks like a mini version of deodorant with same kind of consistency but with no fragrance)
I have been putting it on the bridge of my nose for the last few nights and have been waking up in the morning with no redness and no soreness.
it cost me $7.99 for a lot less than the size of deodorant but I think that it will last a long long time before I have to buy another stick.

Thanks for the tip. Does it have any petroleum in it?

That looks like a great solution! Thanks for posting that.rise&shiner wrote: I wanted to see if I could find something other than tape or mole skin to prevent redness and soreness on the bridge of my nose. And lo and behold I found something that for me is working great.

Re: Something that might work for nose rubs
I see hikers using it (I prefer duct tape) on the trail and never thought about using it on the bridge of my nose. I don't need it with the Hybrid mask which doesn't touch the bridge. But if I start using my traditional FF mask more often, I will try to remember Band-Aid Friction Block. Thanks.
Re: Something that might work for nose rubs
So, where did you find it? I looked in a couple of big box pharmacies last night, without luck.rise&shiner wrote: And lo and behold I found something that for me is working great. I got mine at Rite Aid, but probably Walgreens and CVS sell it also. If you can't find it still find it you probably can get it at drugstore.com

The CVS near me has it. I'll bet others do, too. With Bandaids, adhesive tapes, etc.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

Re: Something that might work for nose rubs
I found it at Walgreens with the Bandaids. It's small, easy to miss. Going to try it tonight.

Re: Something that might work for nose rubs
Excellent heads-up, so thanks to the OP for mentioning this product.
Friction Block is listed online as being available at CVS and Walgreen's. I found it today at my local Fry's grocery (Kroger) for $5.99.
