Do you really sleep on your side all night?

Post by track » Tue Nov 20, 2007 2:42 pm

People that say they are side sleepers.....do you say that because you start out sleeping on your side or do you really sleep all night on your side. I always thought I was a side sleeper until I got on cpap. Now I can tell by my software charts that I don't stay on my side but flip onto my back during the night part of the time.

Both sides, in my case. I wake up sometimes when I turn over, but I almost always end up on the opposite side than when I went to sleep. And Sweetie says I don't spend ANY time on my back.

Pretty much the same as Kajun. I CAN'T sleep on my back. If I tried, I'd be staring at the ceiling all night.

I start out on one side and usually flip from side to side.

I mainly sleep on my side or stomach (which makes my face to the side still) but their are occasional nights that I sleep on my back but very rarely.

Yes, I to sleep on my side all night, flipping from side to side. I have tried my back with CPAP but it does not work.

I wear a backpack stuffed with a pillow so that I will stay on my side. This brings down my AHI and helps my GERD. I sleep on my left side because it helps with the GERD.

Prior to Cpap I could never fall asleep on my back either. Now I can fall asleep anyway....back or side....I think cpap has made me more tired.. I used to think I never slept on my back but my software tells me otherwise.

How can you tell your sleep position from your software?
