Resvent Ibreeze Software update

Post by rmorriso86 » Sun Jan 08, 2023 3:55 pm

Long time lurker. Thought I would give my insight to the ibreeze. After a firmware/software update (that DME's are not passing it out to consumers even though being put out to them from the manufacturer) it is A great machine. If it had a heated hose option and a easier to clean tank I would say it was as good as a airsense 10. You do have to play with the settings a little more as this unit is full of options to zero in how you like it to function. I at first hated this unit because it would fight your breathing in a very harsh way. I actually went back to my old 10 even though I had to upload the card daily for compliancy. I even considered getting the 11 but after my wife got one and I wasn't impressed with it. I found a place that had the updates and it made this machine useable. As to the quality of the build it seems sturdy enough, but time will tell. If your on a budget and needing one now this is a good option.

here is my link from compass health the most current svc for the wifi model 20894. it has a great step by step on how to do it. I used a diffrent sd card so I didn't lose my data doing the way the guide says to do it.

I've been on my Resvent iBreeze for about six months now and have been able to adjust to it okay. x You mentioned that it can fight your breathing in a harsh way and I wondered if you could go a little more in depth with your experience with it. On good nights my AHI is around 4 or 5. Some nights I go 7 hours with a good sleep, the iBreeze is gentle with my breathing and no problems. Other nights i wake up and it's pumping air into my mask like a monster. I cannot figure out why. I'm not using the ramp feature, I found it better to start off with the full function and I fall asleep pretty quickly. I'm using a ResMed Airfit F30 full face mask. Thanks anyone for suggestions.

Hi miserlou,

I have a resvent ibreeze CPAP and I'm having the same problem. I've been using it for almost three months. At first, it was quite difficult to get use to the machine but lately I was getting used to it and could sleep several hours with no problem. I don't know what happened, I haven't touch any configuration on the machine since my health provider limited the features and I can only change a few things like the humidity level but not the ramp or the preassure. Ramp is 20 minutes from 4 to 8 and preassure is 8. In the last few days I wake up after less than an hour with the feeling of the machine pushing air like hell. I haven't been able to use it more than an hour and it's been almost a week. I am worried I would not get used to the therapy. Did you solve the problem with yours? Does anyone have a clue of why this might be happening?

I wonder if apneaboard has the "clinician" manual.

This video explains the settings and how to change them

However, that doesn't explain

@LadyRoci
You're describing a sudden change, that's not the problem in this thread. However, in the link to software update (iBreeze Software update) it does say
If your iBreeze unit is “Bumpy” (Not Smooth) then you can follow the
instructions in this document to update the Software on your iBreeze
device to the latest version.
I would do that as a first step in troubleshooting the issue.

Thank you. Unfortunatelly, I am not allowed to change the software of the machine since all the service is provided by my insurance company for free and they don't allow me to make changes to the software and most of the machine configuration. It doesn't have a sd card inside either.
I guess it's not the best machine in the market. I would try to rent a different brand and see how it goes and maybe I would just buy one that suit my needs.

sounds like your "free machine" is costing you a bit there.

if you can, try buying a resmed machine. i'd recommend the one in my signature below.

good luck!

It appears that the latest version of Oscar is now compatible with Resvent.
Oscar would be installed on your computer--not the cpap machine.
So nobody will know if you get your own sd card, and look at your data separately.
Just put the card in before you sleep; and remove the next day.

Has anyone tried OSCAR with an IBreeze yet?? I’m so excited to grab an SD card to try! It’s been so frustrating trying to find solutions without being able to look at anything beyond basic ahi and leakage ( which are not great indicators anyways).

I would imagine someone has.
The Oscar team would not have worked on compatibility if there were no demand.
Since we see no complaints, it appears to be doing OK.
